There are some security features within Backoffice which both monitor and stop users from abusing the system. These features will be explained below.

GRV Access Permissions

Currently, there are 3 access permissions related to GRVs:

To Edit a Posted GRV

This allows access to change a saved/balanced GRV that has been paid from till, and where the related till has been posted.

To Edit Posted GRV LineItems

This allows access to change the line items of a saved/balanced GRV that has been paid from till, and where the related till has been posted.

To Process GRVs

This allows access to add new GRVs, edit unbalanced GRVs and edit GRVs that are not paid from till.

What is a balanced/saved GRV

A Saved or Balanced GRV is one where the GRV header matches the GRV Line Items. In BackOffice, this is represented by the GRV line being white.

What is a Posted GRV

A Posted GRV is a GRV that has been paid from the till (so has been linked to a till) and that till has been posted. You can, therefore, give/deny access to change these GRVs before the till is locked, at which time no one is able to update the GRV.

Tracking GRVs not Paid From Till

We understand the need for tighter security around historical saved GRVs that have not been paid from till. We are currently looking at the best way to integrate this as seamlessly as possible. However, you are currently able to track this using the Activity reports:
